The Circulation of Garden Water Fountains Manufacturing Knowledge in Europe

Contributing to the advancement of scientific technology were the published letters and illustrated publications of the time. They were also the principal means of transferring practical hydraulic information and fountain design suggestions throughout Europe. An un-named French fountain designer was an internationally celebrated hydraulic pioneer in the later part of the 1500's. His expertise in developing gardens and grottoes with integrated and brilliant water fountains began in Italy and with commissions in Brussels, London and Germany. The text, “The Principles of Moving Forces,” written near important link the end of his lifetime in France, became the fundamental writing on hydraulic mechanics and engineering.
